Argentina has two different 100-peso bills: one featuring a man (Julio Roca) and the other featuring a woman. The latter is the only bill in Argentina’s history to depict a woman—and not just any woman, but Evita Perón, a figure remembered for fighting against gender inequality.

As Women’s Day approached, we came up with an idea to raise awareness about the gender pay gap: making the bill with a woman’s face on it worth 27% more than the one with a man’s face. This meant that while Roca’s bill remained worth 100 pesos, Evita’s bill was valued at 127 pesos.

This initiative allowed consumers to experience, in a concrete and tangible way, the injustice of the wage gap between men and women for the same work.
